Calgary Dance Stampede wins 2011 UCWDC Star Award. Voted "Favorite North American Event"

Star Award

We just wanted to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who voted for the Calgary Dance Stampede for 2011 "Favorite North American Event".

We are very excited to be the first Canadian event to win such a prestigious award. It is also very humbling to be included among so many great events over the past 20 years. It is without a doubt that this award is shared with every member of the organizing committee as well as every volunteer who has ever maned a door for even 1 hour in the past 20 years we have been around. Above all an award like this means more to us than others because it is voted on by YOU, the dance public, and we hope that we can continue to grow and be your favorite event !!

A Star Award is an accolade presented by the UCWDC (United Country Western Dance Council) to recognize excellence in dance. The annual ceremony takes place a the UCWDC World Championships of Country Dance at the Worlds Variety Show.
