Since 1992, the Calgary Dance Stampede has been host to the "Campfire Ball". In that time this Professional Variety Dance Show has grown to be one of Canada's largest. In 2008 we re-intruduced a dinner portion and in 2010 you will see the show take another leap forward. Over 450 people pack the seats to enjoy an evening of dinner, dance, comedy, music and entertainment ... Truely a One-Of-A-Kind show you must see to appreciate !!
When purchasing your event pass your seating is assigned for the Professional Variety Dance Show based on a First Sold = Best Seat Basis.

In 1993 at the second annual Calgary Country Dance Stampede, the North West Award of Distinction was presented for the first time. It was to recognize a resident of the North West for; dedication to Country Western Dance, personifying its spirit; for giving time; for promoting; for offering a helping hand; and for giving encouragement. Since 2001 this award lay dormant until, in 2009, the Calgary Dance Stampede decided to reinstate an award to recognize contributions and those whom have made major contributions to the sport of Country Dance.

PROFESSIONAL DANCE VARIETY SHOW
The Professional Dance Variety Show saw over 450 people in attendance on Saturday night. Many of them had already spent the better part of the weekend enjoing over 50 workshops taught by some of North America’s Top Professional Instructors and watching some amazing local dancers compete. But there was something else they all came to see, the "Campfire Ball" Dinner & Professional Dance Variety Show.
Each year there is amazing dancing and entertainment at the show. This year the show included the exciting new Classic Masters competition format with three amazing couples as well as three Crown couples impressing the crowd with their routines. That was just the beginning, because after the competition portion complete, it was time for the show to begin. This year saw a bit of a murder mystery as all the professional dance performers were suspects throughout the show, but the case took a surprise twist when it was solved ...
Masters Competitors; Sasha Budaska & Rachele Basaez, Richard Dugger & Sarah Berens and Micheal Eads & Annick Paquett turned your heads with their amazing Show Dance Performances.
Crown Competitors; Chris & Becky Haynam and Craig Johnson & Joan Lundhal entertained everyone with their talented and comical Solo Medley Show Dances.
Chris & Michelle Small performed a stunning Nightclub
Mark Bradburn & Melissa Culbertson showed you how waltz can be danced.
3D Hip Hop group from Edmonton, AB had people on the edge of their seats wanting to know what they were going to do next.
Gerald Cote & April Sakaluk are one of Canada's Top Competitive Classic Swing couples and they made it all look so easy.
Michael & Dawne Kiehm are 2 of North America's Top Swing Professional's and they combined the soft flowing romantic style of nightclub with the hot and seductive stylings of Argentine Tango.
Christopher Hussey & Katrina Branson are on a Hot Streek as they've just come off the US Open Swing Dance Championships, placing 6th in the Classic division ... Watch Out !!
Keith & Jena Armbruster(Canada's Top Competitive Masters) pulled on your heart strings as they performed a Nightclub ... many people were looking for a tissue when they finished.
The "Little Vegas Dance Company" from Calgary's Burlesquercise turned the Campfire Ball into a raging Inferno !!
