The Alberta Amateur Country Dance Contest (AACDC) is a "Grass Roots" dance contest that was created to promote Country Dance competition at a local amateur level.

Any amateur dancer, at any dance level entered and danced in the AACDC. Dancers competed as couples in Two Step or as individuals in Line Dance. Local dancers throughout Alberta bars, dance halls and studios compete for the coveted 2010 Southern Alberta Title. Local Finals were held at the Ranchman's Cookhouse and dancehall in Calgary and Billy Bob's Country Music Dance Hall in Red Deer, with the top 3 finalists from those 2 locations competing at the Finals at the 2010 Calgary Dance Stampede, April 16-18, 2010 in Calgary at the Hyatt Regency hotel.
